Torshavn.io is the fan engagement platform for professional football. It is the digital infrastructure clubs use to communicate with their fans: matchday, news, media and push in real time, delivered across app, web and further channels. Instead of rebuilding the same features for every club, Torshavn.io gives clubs one holistic, scalable infrastructure for their fan communication: data, editorial system, delivery and native apps from a single source.
At its core is a cloud-based headless CMS with a real-time data import from Sportec and the DFL image database, plus open, documented APIs. Native apps, websites and other frontends are built on top of it.
The matchday runs in real time: live ticker, statistics, tables and real-time push notifications. Whatever happens on the pitch is in the app instantly, and especially fast during match events. On top of that come matchday and media management with automatic rendering, push targeting with segmentation and TV delay, and AI support for the editorial team.
Torshavn.io runs on a high-performance architecture built in Rust and is hosted GDPR-compliant on German servers. The data stays with the club. The platform has been live at VfB Lübeck for about a year and, since 2026, at FC Augsburg, the first Bundesliga club.
