FC Augsburg
FC Augsburg has been a fixture in the Bundesliga since 2011 and stands for down-to-earth values, a loyal fan base and Swabian persistence. For this club, we built a digital platform that lives up to those values: the new FC Augsburg app, built on our platform Torshavn.io.
The new FC Augsburg app was built natively from the ground up, in SwiftUI for iOS and Kotlin for Android, with a focus on a modern, performant and stable architecture and a great user experience.
At its heart is a matchday hub with a real-time live ticker: match events, statistics, tables and line-ups are delivered in real time via the official Sportec feed. Whatever happens on the pitch reaches the fans instantly through real-time push notifications.
On top of that come news with text, image and video, FCA-TV with a native video player, squad, fixtures, tickets and a personal account. All content runs on our platform Torshavn.io, a cloud-based headless CMS, hosted in Germany and GDPR-compliant.
For the club, the app is also a control tool: content can be published flexibly, the matchday is managed centrally, and AI supports the editorial team with image captions and push suggestions.
