VfB Lübeck
With its eventful history, its sporting successes and one of the most passionate fan bases in northern Germany, VfB is a solid fixture in German football. The club stands for northern German down-to-earthness, community, tradition and tireless commitment to football in Lübeck and the region. From this self-understanding, it was our ambition to develop a digital platform that lives up to these values. The new VfB Lübeck App brings fans, members and the club closer together.
The new VfB Lübeck app was developed from scratch natively in SwiftUI for iOS and Kotlin for Android. The focus was on a modern, performant, and stable architecture that guarantees high user-friendliness.
The design combines traditional elements of the club with a clear, contemporary digital look. All content – from news to live data to matchday services – is delivered in real-time via performant APIs. This allows users to receive up-to-date information at all times, both in the stadium and on the go.
In addition to the fan perspective, the app was also designed as a control tool for the club: content can be flexibly delivered, fan interactions can be analyzed in a targeted manner. The app thus creates the basis for data-driven decisions in the area of fan communication and digital services.
In addition, we have developed and implemented a customized Digital Signage solution based on Yodeck.
The focus was on designing and developing individual web templates tailored to the needs of the club. The content is centrally controlled via the Yodeck system, updated in real-time through Nuuks' own Club Backend solution, and displayed on screens through a dedicated media player. The solution is used in the VIP area of the Lohmühle.
Due to the direct integration with the Yodeck backend, editors can control and adjust content in real-time at any time – from matchday information to partner integrations to current news. This ensures flexible and efficient content management on all relevant screens, centrally managed and live updatable.
